The Last Day of June! Really?

We're a little spooked that it's the last day of June already. Well, it seems the only thing to do is get to it and take advantage of the good weather and delicious market offerings while they're here. We stopped by the Wednesday Portland Farmer's Market this morning and snapped a bunch of shots before the bell. Things are looking good down there. From all reports it's going to be a fairly short cherry season. We're busy pitting and canning while they're available. It'll be a shame when they're gone, go get em!

Well, that was fun!

Thanks to all who attended our Rioja market dinner last night. We had a splendid time serving you. We hope you had as much fun as we did. Let's do it again real soon. How does next month work for you? The markets are in full swing and we've got months and months of inspiring local produce to look forward to. Stay tuned...

One more bit. The June/July issue of Saveur is dedicated to everything 'Market'. Saveur has been a longtime source of inspiration for us. The editors absolutely get that good food and drink should be celebrated, but remain accessible to everyone. You'll find everything from foie gras to funnel cakes in Saveur. The current issue is particularly close to our hearts. Go grab a copy, get inspired and we'll see you at the market. We'll probably be near the Fressen stand eating Bavarian Croissants. Till then...
